Prioritize What Matters was built with two principles in mind.

There are so many voices in the fitness industry saying what you REALLY need to do to lose that last 10 pounds is eat this one super food, or try this new supplement, or do this new exercise variation.
But the truth is that those kinds of things will have such a minimal impact on your fitness (if any at all) and as long as you include regular exercise, work to progress over time, manage your calories (a moderate calorie deficit to lose weight or a moderate calorie surplus to build muscle), and eat enough protein you will make progress. It is that simple.
This means that we don't include any fads, have no extremes, and take a nuanced approach to find what works best for you.

And often times it is not the most important thing. Don't get me wrong, maintaining and improving your health and fitness will pay massive dividends now and later in life, but other things are equally as important like spending time with friends and family, making time for hobbies, and including foods you enjoy in your diet. When you are able to make space for these things in your fitness plan and sometimes choosing them over the “optimal fitness choice”, you will enjoy the process so much more, build healthy habits, and actually want to continue with the program.
This means that we take a flexible approach to nutrition, allow space for life getting in the way, adjust the plan as needed to fit you, and recognize that there is no need to sprint to results.
